Our unmanaged dedicated hosting offers users complete control over their server while avoiding any upfront investment or long-term hardware liablity. If your equipment fails we'll replace it as quickly as possible -- completely free of charge. Operating a dedicated server is exactly the same as co-locating, except we owns the equipment. You are welcome to install your own software and create users as you see fit. If you decide to cancel service the server will be formated before being reused.
At Mac Mini World we only use the newest model Mac Mini Servers for dedicated hosting. By default we setup each server with RAID 1 mirroring to protect important data from hardware failures. If your solution needs additional storage, we recommend connecting a SmartStor DS4600 attached storage device.
Each server comes with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server edition. This operating system allows anyone comfortable with Mac OS X to administrate an enterprise grade database, web, mail, or file server. Built on UNIX, Mac OS X is a reliable, secure platform for everything from building web applications to colabortating with co-workers.
